Our Story

OFFICINA FRATELLI BERTOLOTTI S.p.A. its origins date back to 1901. The company was born as a small artisan company founded by Isidoro Bertolotti who works as a blacksmith.
Later, also due to the progressive contribution of the sons to the father’s business, the shop grows developing its vocation of constant research of new products and markets. The eldest son Luigi, after having served in the military in the Cavalry Army, makes the experience acquired as a farrier available to the company and the company, specializing in the construction of special horseshoes, carves out a particular niche in the productive economy of Canavese (an area where, especially at the time, the passion for everything related to horse racing was very lively), and in other geographical areas.

From 1920 until the beginning of the Second World War, the company is in slow but continuous growth and the business moves towards the production of special iron carpentry.
After the war, the company, called FRATELLI BERTOLOTTI, is a de facto company among the founder’s sons who, at the same time, changes the corporate culture with the gradual abandonment of the artisan management perspective to change into an industrial management, also for the acquisition of customers in the “Electricity transport” sector.

Since 1953, the business has been carried out in the new factory in Volpiano, via Milano 4, where it still operates today.

In 1965 the company assumed the company name OFFICINA F.LLI BERTOLOTTI s.n.c., and subsequently, in 1983, with further transformation, it assumed the current name: OFFICINA FRATELLI BERTOLOTTI S.p.A.
Since 1953 the company has constantly improved and evolved, with the gradual raising of the technical and technological level in the sector of the production of components and structures for the transport of electricity (power lines, electrical stations and substations, etc.) and related products.
